Your Biases are Showing (BIPOC Version)

Service Description

This exclusive 2-hour session includes a workshop facilitated by a guest facilitator presenting a special topic regarding inclusive and intersectional birth work in the community, followed by a panel discussion by various birth workers of color who specialize in cultural issues such as discrimination against lifestyles (i.e. LGBTQIA+, sex workers), lack of competency to serve people in marginalized communities, and other barriers faced in the perinatal and postnatal community. This will be a very raw and vulnerable event to check biases and be informed on how to do better in this work. Nothing will be "sugar-coated" as everything will be navigated accordingly in a safe and healthy manner. Please note: You will be provided a form to complete to confirm being an BIPOC participant. If you are not a BIPOC participant, please select the "Non-BIPOC" workshop event.

Cancellation Policy

If needing to cancel or reschedule your appointment, a 24-hour notice is required. Failing to provide at least 24 hours will result into a "No Show" and no refund will be provided. If rescheduling after 3 times, it will be considered a "No Show" and one will no longer be able to book services in the future.
